Not just unprofessional but criminal. Buyers beware. They dazzle you with clean car but swap good parts for inferior parts. Very upset with crooked hustlers. Hub caps, Radio , speakers, seats, and visors swapped out. Who know what else they took..as I drive it the list lengthens!! At first I was so happy but quickly realized what had happened. Will not be back ever for you to steal the rest of my good parts off my car👎👎👎Don’t go here Don’t leave your car with them..I should have went with my gut instinct initially and not left my car. 😡

We had a good experience working with Doug. I called and left a message, and he called me back later that day; they were able to fit me in within a week ahead of a trip with the family in July. Dropped off around 8:30am and I picked up at about 4:45pm. Overall they did a great job and managed to get some chlorinated pool water stains out of the seats, which are still not noticeable even a week or so later.

They were excellent, but not cheap (worth the money, though). I got their "Premier" package, both inside and out, and they did not take shortcuts (got all the nooks and crannies, and little compartments). My car looked fantastic. Their shuttle service was drama free, on time, and service was polite and professional. The best thing to note is that they were honest- I left some cash in the glove compartment and center console (One of the tests I do to see if I will go back to the place), and sure enough, it was safely put into a cardboard box with all the other stuff. Spare change that got stuck in the seats and under the rugs- all put into the box. Nice.

I brought my father-in-laws car to Doug to clean it up after we borrowed it for an extended period of time. Between kids and a dirt road the car needed some help. When we got it back from Doug, it looked brand new and better than when we received it from my father-in-law. Having two yellow labs and not getting a detail since I have gotten the truck, I was a bit embarrassed as to the state of the interior. Taking the truck to Total Detail was a godsend. The gentleman I spoke to when I dropped it off was super polite and put me at ease that they did, in fact, have seen worse. Unsure if he was just saying that to make me feel better. When I picked up the truck, you can’t even tell that I have dogs. Truck is spotless. Highly recommend goi g here for your cleaning needs! I’ll be back! Wish I got before pictures, but just imagine literally everything covered in dog hair.

Do not take your car to this hillbilly for anything! This is the absolute worst place to deal with. Not only is the hillbilly that runs a place rude and condescending you will absolutely get the worst cleaning of your car. You would fare better to take your vehicle to the car wash and get better service. It is not an exaggeration that the owner is horrible. If you call them you will see why the better business bureau has several complaints about them. Run!!

The best in Ann Arbor off of South industrial. They are professional, nice and clean your car with a rag after the wash. That in itself is wonderful but the shine on my car lasts for days. Kudos to all the hardworking people there, ty so much!

I own a business and use this car wash for my entire fleet of over 15 trucks. The main manager is rude every single time I come , today the wash broke my windshield wiper off. I pulled off to the side upon exit only for the manager to wave his hands at me all rude and tell me to get out of the way. I tried to explain to him about my issue and he said "okay well you still need to move outmost the way!" So I did. Then he ignored me and made his coworker (who is the star employee in my opinion) take care of it after I waited another 10 minutes. The guy is rude and ruins the experience here with out a doubt.

This is a great car wash! The guy who takes payment is so friendly, the three guys who sprayed my very dirty car down took extra time to give it a thorough spray and when I pulled away, my car was actually clean. Way way better experience than Zippy. I will go out of my way to have my car washed here.

***Update March 2025*** Credit card readers are consistently broken, self service bays are always flooded. Do better lighthouse. **Update May 2023** Lighthouse has done some major upgrades to the parking lot and vacuums. Vacuums are free between 8am and 5pm. There are now dual hoses on them with the traditional flat extension and also a crevice tool. There is also a place to clamp your floor mats. I should also add that when you go through this wash, there are always two people spraying off the car. They spray with power washers then wipe the front and back of vehicles with big brushes before you go into the machine. This is a well-established car wash that's great for auto-washing or DIY. They have 5 bays in back of the property where you can spray off your car yourself. It's covered and costs about 2 bucks to start. They maintain their equipment pretty well so everything works great. In the bays they also have brushes and clamps to hold your floor mats. ***Update March 2025*** If you want to do the auto wash, this one is a little better than the other auto washes in the area. Some of the employees have been there for years and they do a great job. Hint: if you slip them a tip when you drive into the auto wash, they will usually spray your car off a little better.

I scheduled to have the car polished to remove any factory paint defects but Nick was honest that it did not require it and only charged me appropriately. He was prompt and did a great job with the sealant. Brought out the high gloss shine of the clear coat. Applied a special sealant for the rims as well to increase the gloss. Great local business, recommended for exterior/interior detailing.

Having recently purchased my new Tesla Model Y and knowing they are notorious for having very soft and easily damaged paint, I knew I wanted to protect it. I got to doing some research and found that paint protection film was going to be wildly expensive and have some draw backs. So eventually I got to talking to Jacob at auto protection detailing and he quickly introduced me to a fairly new product that I knew nothing about. Icon rocklear sounded great from the outset, but unfortunately there’s not much information about it online. But based on Jacob’s excitement about it, and the confidence he had of it I decided to have my car coated. Due to my busy schedule, the guys were able to take care of my install over the weekend which I am very grateful for and boy was it worth it! I picked up my car and it looked absolutely fantastic, though unfortunately it didn’t stay clean that way for long do to rain and dirt roads😂. But now that the rocklear has cured and I can clean it whenever I want it can shine like that day I picked it up! The overall experience with Jacob was great, and he is ever patient with my questions and very responsive. I am well and truly confident that he and the team will take care of me in the future whenever I need. Thank you all so much, and for others thinking about protecting or cleaning your car let these guys do it!

I have been a bit of a detail person for a while and love to have my cars kept detailed and as clean as possible with living in Michigan. I had been researching coatings especially with the world of ceramic coatings. When I came across Auto Protection Detailing web site and found Icon Rocklear I knew I had hit gold!! I had Jacob quote me for applying Icon Rocklear to my new Lexus RX-350. He had to preform a huge task of removing the scratches on this brand new car from a previous attempt (by another company) to apply a paint protection product that went south. Both Jacob and Hunter had to spend an enormous amount of time polishing the car and not break through the clear coat to remove all the scratches. Once they completed the prep on the car it was coated with Rocklear and the care looks amazing. The best part is that I don't have to worry about the coating wearing off and having it recoated often. Jacob and Hunter spent a bunch of time talking with me explaining all the details of the product and their procedure for prep and application. It is great to have a small company that is focused on customer service and providing a superior product at an affordable price. Keep it up Jacob and Hunter, you did a great job. Thanks again.

I took a 2010 escape in for an alignment and to look at the power steering issue I had. My power steering went out after replacing the engine cradle and lower control arms. I had to bring my car somewhere in an emergency to fill two flat tires and investigate a misfire, and MSM was the nearest place. They were so quick and friendly about getting my car in and diagnosing the problems! The staff was very accommodating to my situation and respectful of my decision not to pursue repairs, and even advised me on what to do next when looking for new used cars! So while I can’t speak to the quality of repairs, my experience was top notch!

I have a monthly pass and go through almost every day! Best car wash in town (and I’ve been to them all!!) Very friendly staff, good dryers, very nice place with good equipment. They also open early so it’s convenient to go on your way to work in the morning. The monthly pass is awesome because when you pull up, they have a camera that reads the barcode on your windshield and it lifts the gate and you pull right in! Highly recommended!!!

I went to Brilliant Car Care this week to get the Glisten Package, to treat myself and Subie for my birthday/got you anniversary. My appointment was at 11:00am and I sat at the coffee shop across the parking lot. My Subie wasn’t ready until 4:30. When I got home, I looked in my back seat and pulled the middle console down, when I did there was pet hair. I was charged for pet hair removal so I called the shop and talked to Victoria. Victoria was very nice and sweet. She said I could bring my Subie back up. Which I did, even though it was an inconvenience and waste of mileage. She did acknowledge that she forgot that area and asked if there was anything else I saw. There was! Coffee going down my driver seat and marks on the cloth above the seats and etc. Victoria took my Subie back and 20 mins later she came back to get me. She gave me a free exclusive hand wash & wax card that she signed and said she was so sorry and if I ever want to come back again, here’s this card. It was a nice gesture. I just went to put my rug covers back in my Subie (had to wait for carpet to dry) and this is what I’ve found. They had my car for almost 5 hours total and they didn’t even detail clean my Subie. I paid $300 for what?! Also, there was whatever the thing in the plastic bag left in my Subaru. I think it may put air and light up..but it’s not mine. I had everything cleaned out of my Subie in preparation for the detailing. **Update** I talked with the GM Frank today, he offered for me to bring my Subaru back up to the shop to get it re-cleaned. That would be the 3rd time I would drive up to the shop to have my Subie clean when it should have been done properly the 1st time. I do not want to spend any more of my time there nor waste anymore gas and mileage. My time is valuable and money is tight. Frank then offered to give me some portion of my money back.. I paid $309 with tip. He said he could send me a check for $209, the person Jason who worked on my Subie needed to be paid for the time he spent on my Subaru. I get it, someone did spend time on my vehicle and of course I don’t want them to go without being paid. I’m just annoyed with how much inconvenience this was. I will adjust my review when I receive the check from Brilliant Car Care.

Car wash started off strong. I like the setup of the line and plenty of room to get lined up on the track. Long line but only took about 15mins. Once i got back to my job i looked at my car. Completely filthy still. That was the $20 wash. 🙃

There is always a great excuse to have to have the line out the street. And the monthly still going up. Absolutely no perceivable benefit over the 5$ car wash in the corner. Thankfully Tommy’s car wash is almost done on carpenter and their most expensive monthly is cheaper than zippy. These guys are about to get destroyed 😂😂

I unfortunately left my sunroof open and rain got in my car causing a horrible musty smell. Advanced Auto cosmetic knew exactly what to do and amazingly removed all the odor and my car smelled just like a new car again!!
