I have used Sunshine Auto Spa in the past but never wrote a review. Since I recently had two cars serviced here, I thought I’d write a multi-part review about my experience. I had two cars treated with ceramic coating. One is a brand new Audi Q3, the other is a 2018 BMW 4-series. For both vehicles, I chose the Ceramic Pro two-year warranty (a.k.a. bronze package) option. Both vehicles also had minor paint correction done before the coatings were applied. The BMW also received a “mini interior detailing“. Overall, the service was good. Both vehicles came out very shiny and clean, inside and out. Each vehicle took one full day to complete. The exteriors definitely have that “wet” look that I was hoping for. And, since both vehicles have metallic paint this made them look even better. There is definitely some hydrophobic qualities about the coatings such that water tends to bead and roll off the surfaces easily. This also helps them stay cleaner looking by allowing dust to also release more easily. For the mini interior detailing on the BMW, all the surfaces were clean and conditioned without any greasy residue. I wasn’t a huge fan of how the conditioner smelled but it did dissipate over the next couple of days. A vehicle air freshener covered it up easily until it was gone. They did a good job of removing dust and debris from cracks and crevices on the doors, dash, and center console. Ceramic coatings look good and are supposed to be fairly durable. Since this was just done I can’t really comment on how it will wear over time. I intend to come back to this review several months from now to report any changes or issues that might have come up. I realize that ceramic coatings are not bulletproof but my hope is it will be durable enough to prevent minor blemishes and help keep the car looking clean and shiny for quite some time.

I had an accident with a tire shop , I went there to get new tires, but during the process, the employees of this tire shop damaged my 4 wheels and my door side. Fortunately for me, sunshine auto spa helped with the process of getting this tire shop to pay for the damage that they did to my car and with the rental car that the tire shop needed to provide me while sunshine was getting my car fix. David has such amazing communication skills, both english and Spanish, and after they got it fix my car looks like new. I always go to this place when someone hits or damage my car, very friendly and they do an excellent job 👏

I originally posted a negative review because I took my car through the Deluxe Wash ($20), got home, and saw that there were still bugs stuck to the front bumper, bird poop on the hood, and some dirty spots that were missed. Within 24 hours of posting my review, Jordan reached out and asked me to come back in so they can take care of it. I did and Darren and Jorge went over the issues with me. They said the dead bugs and missed spots were on them, and they took my car and washed, dried it, and even did a bit of detailing, then brought it to me and we went over everything. That was so nice of them! However, the bird poop on the hood and roof is a much bigger issue because it was left for too long and it burned through the clearcoat and is now into the paint. Darren said it depends on the species of bird and what they eat - seabird poop can eat through to the paint in 24 hours. He said I should treat the bird poop within 24 hours by wetting a paper towel with water, lay it over the poop, let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe it off. I will now start doing this everyday! I told him I am going to apply sealant to my car and he gave me lots of advice on how/when/how often to do it. I really appreciate being able to learn how to take care of my car from people who are experts! I would definitely take my car back here. Darren said to always check your car right after it goes through the wash, while you are still at the car wash so that if you see any issues, you can bring it up with them and they can address it right away.

Great place to get your car washed! They do a great job! Totally recommend! They hand wash your car and then you drive through their machine washer. If you go for the upgrades they'll hand dry it and vacuum the inside. Always satisfied!

Best self service car wash in SB. My routine: start with high pressure soap including on wheels/tires, rinse with high pressure wax, finish with spot free rinse all over. You can do this in 4 mins for $3 which gets all but the micro dirt off. Then pull forward into the vacuum spots and wipe down the entire car with one or two large microfiber towels. Start with windows (get bone dry), then work on cleaner painted areas up high, finish with dirty areas down low. Move to different parts of the towel as needed. Takes 5-10 mins. The key to this is it allows you to avoid the dreaded scrubbing brush that (in every car wash) will scrape your paint. Despite the signs that tell customers not to do it, I regularly see people scrub their wheels and tires with the brushes. If you're going to use the brush, at least power wash it first with high pressure soap.

Just want to give my honest opinion. The good and the bad. It was my first time there and everyone was super nice all around, helping explain the difference between the wash and what is and isn’t included. They were prompt with timing too. I didn’t inspect the cleanliness until after I left and I wish I had. I paid extra for the super wash and leather conditioning. Assuming this would leave the entire exterior of the car spotless, which it was not. Tons of dirt in the wheel well and mud flaps that weren’t sprayed or whipped and lots of little areas on the vehicle that were simply forgotten. Unfortunately won’t be back here after spending $75, I had more attention to detail as a child cleaning my families car.

Took over an hour and a half before they started to dry my car, the car was dry and streaked by then and they wanted to wreck my paint by wiping it down dry. I asked for a refund and the kid refused to help at all. I am doing a chargeback and never going back.

Javier does excellent work! He shampooed my car upholstery. It looks and feels cleaner than when I've had it done other places. Whatever cleaning agent he uses doesn't have any crazy toxic fumes which is greatly appreciated. The other place I've taken my car left the seats soaking wet which took a long time to dry out. The attention to detail with the seats, mats, and exterior wash combined with the convenience of having him come to the house made this such a great experience. Highly recommend!

They ought to be ashamed of themselves. List of photos speak for themselves because this was ridiculous. I was completely threw when Jimmy the manager tell me that I was asking for too much to expect my car to be completely clean on the exterior, no mud on the rail or cobwebs still left on the exterior of the truck even after the men call themselves trying to wipe it down. The interior wouldn't touched, I ultimately ended up having to clean my own vehicle. And this is after having paid the extra fee for a truck. Clearly Santa Barbara has extremely low expectations of how are car washes supposed to clean a vehicle because this by any means was not acceptable... Sand everywhere. For him to give me a response like," don't expect it to be completely spotless this is an in and out spot. " When I'm looking at three grown men wiping the car down. I told him I have never experienced such a horrible car wash. Never have I ever had to have this conversation with anybody at a car wash because they've done such a shabby job at it. When I asked him why there was so much sin still left in the car, he said because they don't have the little blower all they had was rags. I said that just doesn't make sense to me because this is a Beach town so everybody's going to come in here with sand what people don't believe in don't believe in driving cars without saying is that what you're trying to tell me? And I think I stopped here because I thought we were going to save on gas if I got a car Wash here. The gas was the same price as regular gas station this is what made me the most upset. I could have ran my car through the Shell station and got in a better job or equivalent. The tires were still dirty. Save your money and just go through a drive-thru for 10 bucks . I spent $40 on this car wash. It was a hot mess. These are the pictures of what my car look like and just some of the pictures of what it look like when they were completely finished washing my car. They did a good job cleaning but their price is random. Always double check the bill the gave you! They asked me for $409 for a detailed wash although they advertised for $329. I asked why it was $409, and they said the price varies based on the car size. But my car is just a small sedan and I asked them to show me the price standards. They were not able to show me because don’t have it. And then they found another excuse saying the car was in a bad condition. The price they gave me is completely random. Always double check the bill!!!!

Been coming to your car wash from last year at least once a month. Always a great experience and a great car wash. Got my car detailed few times, and they never disappoints me. They are attentive to details and they actually take time to throughly rinse your car because the strong chemicals eat the paint, which is something I've had experienced with other car washes. The wax they use is phenomenal and makes my car look like new all the time. What's more, they even offered me a free spray wax on the regular washes number of times. If you ask them, I'm sure they will be happy to do on yours too! Attendants are nice. I will continue to be a loyal customer and would highly recommend this car wash to everyone!!
