If I could give this place ten stars, I would. I took my car into Five Star and spoke with Gaddam. My car was in really rough shape and had mold growing underneath the carpets in the front seat as well as the back seat. I was worried no one would take it and I would have to sell my car and bike around. However, Gaddam completely removed the carpets and cleaned them, and identified the two sources of mold (detached AC hose and a missing plastic piece). Gaddam was extremely thoughtful and helpful throughout the whole process. He sent progress pictures each day and also explained everything he did thoroughly to me when I picked up the car. He also had me wait a couple minutes to make sure the AC was working properly! He truly went above and beyond with helping out my car and I can tell he takes great pride in his work. Afterwards, he sent me a youtube video to explain the AC issue further and really strived to make sure I understood everything. Thank you Gaddam, I truly appreciate all of your help.

My two golden retrievers do a number on my Blazer so I took to Google to look for detailing options in the area and came across Carter's business with stellar reviews. Carter was friendly and quick with communication, clear on the options and prices up front (reviewing photos of my vehicle to give me an accurate quote), and super easy to schedule with. He arrived promptly with the added convenience of being mobile so he was able to complete the service at my house. I have been Bob’s customer for several years. My little red chariot has been treated so well by him, always with some special extra touch. I don’t know how he does it in just a few hours. I have always accused him of having elves hidden in that garage. I was not disappointed today…my vehicle gleamed inside and out and under the hood! as always. Bob is extremely competent, accommodating, sincere and fun! to do business with. Wish I would have known how incredible Josh was when I first got my windows tinted. Didn’t realize he and Carousel were a thing when I paid someone to tint my windows. That tint job resulted in my driver’s side rear bumper getting scrapped with less than 400 miles on my brand new ride. Traveled to get a quote from Josh and wasn’t disappointed. Not only was he the best price but you could just tell his shop was going to provide the best service and get the job done right. To know they are contracted with the carousel dealership but still retain their independence is everything you need to not have to worry about the typical less than desirable dealership auto body experience. I've been driving out here regularly to wash my car since the touchless car wash closed in Coralville. This is one of the few car washes that offers touchless and it always does a great job getting my car clean. Staff is very friendly. Decided to come on a very mild winter day to wash the salt and snow grime off my car. A lot of others had the exact same idea. :) The wait will be worth it, considering I won't end up with scratches on my paint or have to deal with unhappy employees like I do at other car washes.

Carousel Detailing removed 13 years of dirt and grime from the upholstery, carpet and armrests. The interior looks like the clock was rolled back to the day we bought it in 2006! They also cleaned, scrubbed and polished the exterior of the car and the tires to a like new. Though as expected physical damage (holes in plastic bumper) can not be cleaned away the over all appearance was outstanding. They also clean and buffed the headlight free of 13 years of wear and tear.

Not sure why they have such a few reviews... they do a great job, and the price is more than fair. I got some damages on the bumper, so I shopped around a number of body shops in Iowa City and Coralville to get a quote, and the most of them gave me 1.5 times higher quote than I got from here. So, I gave them a job, and they did a great work. That was about two years ago, and no issues so far. Highly recommended!

After a fender bender and being quoted over 2k for repair I was beyond lucky to find Superior Detailing and Reconditioning, Justin and the team were able to make my bumper look brand new for fraction of the cost in fraction of the time that some of the other more well known shops in Iowa City were quoting, even touched up spots that I forgot to point out free of charge. The interior of our high schooler's car was developing a teenager/football player funk that needed to be dealt with ASAP. I went in on Tuesday Jan 7th at 430 pm approx and paid for an MVP wash. The guy who came up took my card and asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I said no, not this time yet i have left multiple tips in the past. Again, not that it matters. He came back after 30 secs or so and asked if “I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave a tip of $1 to $2 to the guys”. I said “not today but thank you” for the 2nd time. When I pulled up to the wash, I saw him come out and say something to the guy power washing the vehicles. My wash was changed to a “rookie” as I saw it light up when I went in. Never had this experience before. I have been multiple times and always had a pleasant experience. I paid for something I didn’t receive because I didn’t leave a tip. I’ll leave a tip when I don’t feel forced to, as I have done many times in the past. Very disappointed. Would be nice if the company would reach out to me. Just don’t want this happening to other customers.

Recently took my 2014 Chevy Impala through the car wash. And in the car wash it ripped the chrome mirror cap off of my vehicle and busted it to the point where it will not work anymore and after going through a handful of people I was told that my car is too old For them to fix. And that they wouldn’t give me anything for it. Will never be returning to this car wash. I would suggest going somewhere else

Worst experience at a car wash ever. I went to get a vacuum because the sign said “free vacuums.” “oh, the vacuum is free with a wash, vacuums are five dollars on their own.” “okay,” I say. I paid five dollars and drive through the loop to find the vacuum area blocked off with no signage indicating where to go or what to do. The staff at the door of the car wash start waving me in, so I start driving in. My car gets in position and I put my car in neutral, and I assume that they are going to send me through the car wash and into the vacuums for some reason because, like I said before, there was no signage or attendant to direct me in the proper direction. Anyway, the attendants inside the wash start to hose my car with soap just as someone who I can only assume was the manager came waving them down to stop. My car half covered in soap, I explain my confusion and am met by a distasteful expression by a man who I can only assume would start in a live action version of the movie “Trolls.” He tells me to back out rather condescendingly, and I oblige. At this point, the “manager” directs me to get into the vacuum area. By now I am frustrated and really just wanted to get my money back and go, but I decided that I might as well use the vacuum. After I finished vacuuming, I pulled back around into the pay booth, and I explain my frustration to the attendant. She was very sincere and I appreciated her kindness. However, the “manager” was behind her ready to receive my complaint. He looks rather annoyed as I ask for either my $5 back, or a free wash. “I can spray the soap off of your car?” He says hoping that will end the interaction soon. “That would be nice.” I say with an extreme feeling of nuisance towards the entire experience. I pull around to get the soap sprayed off and I leave because I am frustrated and am at my capacity for live action trolls. As I drive off, I realize that the soap on my car had not been completely washed off. The “manager” who sprayed my car off seemed to have only gotten the areas he could from where he stood. the pictures attached are the result. Needless to say, I will not return, and I hope that Dreamworks Animation soon sues for copyright infringement.

Waited 15 minutes in the non-monthly line and when I complained, the manager said "there's nothing I can do until all of the monthly regulars have gone through in front of you" ... the monthlies were backed up to the street, probably 15 cars behind me and more coming all the time. My recommendation: don't use this car wash during busy times if you are not a regular monthly customer.

I found scratches on my car after going into the wash. I called to alert them and I was told to go back to the Coralville car wash and make a complaint. I did. Only to be told that the scratches were there before I came into the car wash and looking at how the brushes moved, they couldn’t have touched my car!! Ridiculous!! Anytime I went through the wash my side mirrors will be hit and folded in! How is the brush not hitting the car?? Such a generic response to get out of being a responsible business! Went here on a whim. I’ve tried some of the other car washes in the area that have subscriptions and always felt that they were overpriced, but the level of service, the indoor vacuums, and various member perks make this feel like a much better value.

This is a great car wash with competitive pricing. The indoor vacuum bays are especially convenient when it's colder outside. Cleaning supplies are always there, staff offer to spray wash floor mats. Great wash, great indoor services, great prices and friendly staff.

Went there yesterday for a self wash. They don’t give you much time to clean your car that’s for sure! I then proceeded to buy a $1 cloth from the machine and ripped me off… twice. Doubtful I’ll ever go back after that.

If you live on gravel roads. Try to wash your car or truck. They will kick you out. You have to have a clean car to be able to wash here... . It simply is true. Look at Mike conners review he is a mail carrier that drives on gravel roads. You kicked him out. Do you think he's mudding in his jeep. Here is a picture of that trailer with gravel all over it. Thats after 4 days and some rain. Was the 26ft trailer in the stall? NO.. my truck was. That's what I was trying to wash not the trailer. I always wash down the stall wether it's my car or truck Go drive on any gravel road after it rains. So you know what it looks like. Then you can go wash your vehicle at your competitors. I don’t really go to these places very often, especially since most subscription car washes require you to buy the subscription and you can’t just get one car wash. This place makes a very easy, the attendant was helpful and explained things clearly, my car came out shiny and clean, and the vacuums are awesome. I also liked the large trash cans and complimentary rags to use on my dash and doors. Quick, effective, well priced. I paid 15 for wash and ceramic wax.

For the state of Iowa, this is a great car wash! The reason being? Is because it has a very powerful undercoating car wash so it washes all the salt and sand off of your vehicle on the underside and it's a very reasonable price only $10 for the premium wash

Terrible experience for my first Toyota car service at McGrath. I dropped my car to the advisor, Cheyenne, at 10AM, then told her I would pick up around 4PM, leaving sufficient time to do just engine oil change and tire rotation. When I picked up my car, I was told it's not done until 5:20PM. The advisor pretended not to know the time at which she should deliver. Moreover, she seemed not willing to explain the reason why it was delayed so much, didn't even say "sorry", probably considered it's very reasonable to wait 1 hour and 20 min there. Obviously, the employee is not well trained, lack of professional spirit.

Set up an appointment online with them, got a confirmation email. Arrived early to my appointment and the front door was locked and all lights off. Called the listed number and the voicemail was full. Emailed and no response. Stayed 30 minutes past my appointment, ended up leaving.

There’s a reason why it has terrible reviews. Didn’t even clean my car. Big bugs still left on the front (see pic) and dirt along the bottom half of the doors. Also, I paid through the app which charged me an extra dollar than it would have been at the kiosk - lame. Go elsewhere.

I would give this car wash zero stars if it was possible. Last time I went, I paid for the wash but then all 4 bays were out of order. Have tried contacting Hy-Vee multiple times with no response. Don’t waste your money.
