Had an appointment on 9/1 confirmed and received reminders of. Showed up on time and no one was there, doors locked and no answer. Sent a text message and left a voicemail and still never heard back. If they were not going to be open that weekend (I assume because of the Monday holiday - which would be understandable but again there wasn’t any indication of that) it should have been blocked on their schedule or at least a phone call would have been nice letting me know it wasn’t actually an available time.

I have a 2024 Camry SE I finally got around to tinting this October, I have 0 regrets what so ever. I have friends who have been waiting to get their car windows tinted as they have heard horror stories over the web with the process. VIDA did an amazing job on my Cybertruck! It is now protected in black satin PPF, darkened front door tints, and ceramic coated. They even add embossed Foundation lettering. Every edge is perfectly tucked and the embossing looks absolutely stunning against the wrap. Thank you!

V.I.D.A. did a fantastic job detailing our Volvo SUV. It’s 6 years old, but came back looking like new. They even somehow managed to get some blemishes out of the paint that were damages left over from a previous cleaner trying to get sap off the car. Our dog had an accident all over the trunk of my car and even though I thought I cleaned it well, it still smelled horrible so we took it to get detailed. James did an incredible job! My kids gave me a car detailing with Mr and Mrs Car Detailing for Mother's Day and I have to say that was one of the best presents ever!!. Decent price, the interior work is quite nice, but I think where this shop really shines is in its exterior work. My paint looks like it’s never stepped off the dealership lot, even managing to get a lot of some of the deeper scratches out/ nearly invisible from my Wyoming off-roading days. Looks absolutely stunning. He’s extremely nice as well and I felt my vehicle was well cared for. 10/10 would recommend

I do A LOT of driving. Whether I’m in town or on gravel roads it’s important to me that my car gets a good wash between road trips. Between tree sap, bugs and road dust, my car can get pretty filthy on the outside. It’s convenient to have a monthly subscription to A BETTER CAR WASH. I should also mention the free vacuum stations too. I don’t need them often but when I do they have plenty available.

We had asked for just an interior detail, which was quoted at $100. Everything seemed fine, and we brought the car the next day. However, the owner claimed to have asked if we wanted both inside and outside detailing, but I don't recall him asking. We had clearly stated the previous day that we only wanted the interior done for $100. To our surprise, when we received the receipt on our phone, we were charged $150 plus a tip. While the interior detail itself was well done, we were ultimately disappointed with the entire experience.

We were charged $180 for a detailing. seat were soaked by spots and didn't touched the trunk area. when we opened the trunk he didn't vacuum or clean anything in the trunk area. too sad 😔 unfortunately I cannot recommend this place for a detailing. now the seat have the water marks 😞

This guy is magic at detailing. The before pictures don't show how dirty this actually was due to the black carpet. Dog hair and stains everywhere. Didn't recognize the car when I got it back. Great experience. It supports credit cards (another place in Urbana I went to doesn't). This place has 7 step self car wash system. Maybe I was slow, but I had to swipe my card multiple times every time the clock resets. If I recall correctly each swipe lasts 4mins (I may remember it incorrectly). Overall I spent $10 my first time using this self-service system. My next time would be better and more efficient? Enjoyed it.

The entrance being one-way with no assistance available when the machine malfunctions is unacceptable. We inserted money into the machine, pressed the help button, and ended up having to direct incoming cars ourselves just to exit. No help ever arrived, but fortunately, the malfunctioning machine issued a $12.00 voucher for a return visit once it’s operational. What a frustrating and poorly managed experience!

Stopped by to get a car wash, first time in… but their system wouldn’t take a card. I tried the other machine and it still wouldn’t accept cards they wanted to take my card inside and it felt super sketchy. I don’t know if they’re stealing cards or what but I backed all the way back down the little drive and left. No wonder it was a ghost town. Also, the gas station 1 minute away had more people going through the car wash and did I took my card the first time.

I had high hopes for this car wash—it's clean, convenient, and the staff are fantastic. However, I took my brand-new week old GMC truck through the wash lane for the first time just after 7 a.m. on 10/01/24. Later that evening, while wiping it down with detailer, I discovered multiple deep scratches on the hood, roof, and even a significant scratch on the sunroof glass. These scratches were definitely not there when I last detailed the truck on Sunday, 9/29/24. As much as I appreciate this car wash, I can't justify coming back if it means risking further damage to my new truck.

Just got back home from taking my car and honestly was not impressed. Just got back from a long road trip and normally I hand wash the car myself but figured I’d give them a shot. Still have splattered bug marks and dirt all over the front of my car, and you can barely tell it even went through the wash. Furthermore, upon a physical inspection I ran my hand across the hood and it took the finish off the paint!! Now I’m going to have to take a few hours off of my day to PROPERLY clean and refinish the car. If you want it done right do it urself; for the 25$ they want for the “premium” wash u can get everything u need to detail the car multiple times yourself

I would say average service. Vacuuming is free, unlimited. But basic wash $10 is not satisfying. I have dead bugs and bird's marks left after washing. Also my car wasn't quite dry and collected all the road dust after I arrived home. My car was cleaner than before wash, but not as clean as I expected. If you need just vacuuming, you do it by yourself, use another entry. Will try another car wash next time.

If you're a Rainstorm monthly "Rapid Pass" customer and wish to cancel, make sure you do it at least seven days before your next billing date. While this is stated in the nearly 5,000 words of Terms and Conditions on their web site, it is not mentioned when signing up. I neglected to read the fine print online, went to cancel two days before my month was up, and found that my credit card had already been charged. Local and district management flat-out refused my request to reverse the charge.

If you’re looking for a miracle, here’s your place. Charlie and the guys really saved my life this summer, by repairing my car. I was quoted 6-10k through my insurance and other repair shops throughout the CU area, many not accepting credit card as a form of payment. Not only do they accept major credit cards with little to know percentage fee, they also charged a little over a third of what I was being quoted prior to. Even with a mishap in pieces and inflation, Charlie stayed true to his quote and diligently worked to seamlessly repair my vehicle. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend these guys, they were extremely personable and professional. & I truly appreciate their services.

Charlie is the best! I got rear ended (and she hit me twice!!) and had the back of my car totally smashed up. He was so nice and willing to work with me to get the best prices on parts. Being a college aged woman, you hear so often of us getting taken advantage of by auto shops. But Charlie did a stellar job and was so nice and kept me in the loop during the whole process. After I got my car fixed, the battery died and he had one of his workers come out to help me jump it. This was right when Covid-19 started and stores were running out of food and supplies and he even offered to help me out with groceries if needed. Truly one of the best mechanics/people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

We were in route to our vacation destination when our car started acting up. I googled a mechanic in the next town and ended up here. Patrick is a wonderful human. He is knowledgeable about cars, diagnosed our problem, reassured us it was safe to get to our destination. Once there, my husband was able to fix the ABS sensor. He refused to take any payment. If I lived in the area I would be loyal to his business.

Picked up my daughter from UIUC today and the engine light went on and the transmission was not shifting. I googled a mechanic in the area and by chance, this place was open. I met Patrick who did a diagnostics analysis to find the issue. He said it was okay to drive back to Chicago. He was very courteous and honest. Would highly recommend this place, they did not take advantage of the situation.

Cons: -I put in 4 quarters into a vacuum here on 7/02/2024 and the vacuum did not turn on. -No button to push to manually return the coins back out in the return slot -Lost out on the $1 and left with un-vacuumed car. -one of the token machines was out of order. -Also parking lot had a lot of scattered debris in it including a screw that thankfully didn’t go into my tire and I threw away. -No staff member on duty in sight to ask about the $1 lost money and broken equipment -tons of potholes in parking lot and surrounding areas around car wash Pros: -Big open trash cans by vacuums to throw out trash and clean out your car -nearby parking lots to sit and detail your car if needed, just lock ur doors bc not the best part of town lol

This car wash is pretty good. They are so close to getting a 5/5. I got the full service interior and exterior wash. My car was pretty dirty. They did a pretty good job and I'm very pleased with the cleanliness of my car, but they did miss a few spots here and there, so I can't give them a 5/5. But for the price, it's very good work, and I'd definitely recommend.

I called in to request an appointment. The person from their call center schedules my appointment at this location, the one off bradley and prospect, 10 minutes further than any other car-x in town as this one had availability. I drive to the complete opposite end of town to my scheduled appointment to find out they outsource their call center and they have no way to tell if the shop can actually fit you in. The email says it's an appointment and yet the location / staff here says it is only a request. Honestly, don't bother wasting your time here. They can't even keep their call center in house to know when they could actually look at your car, nor does an outsourced call center bode well for further communication. Edit: I'm not calling your support, it's probably outsourced as well.

I paid over 10k for an engine replacement, then before the six month warranty is up I started having problems. Ed (owner) refuses to respond. I knew I shouldn't have let him do the work after he attempted to figure out a way to commit insurance fraud by telling me we could try to file a claim saying a squirrel chewed through something causing the problem. I always record any phone calls where I deal with tenants or mechanics etc where there could be a he said she said later. This is also why I've been attempting to contact him through email so there is proof of the contact timeline that I can take to court. Since I didn't notify him that I was recording our phone convo (Illinois is a two party consent state) it's not admissable in court. But here's the kicker, I have a family member in the insurance industry and will be contacting the local adjusters so they can have a listen and be on the lookout. I bet he'll want to talk now.

Don’t make any decisions before you come to this shop! My car was scratched when parking. I went to another shop for quoting, and they said it might cause a few hundreds or even thousands. Then I came here, they helped me clean and polish it without any charge! After all that, my car was nearly new since the actual paint was intact. I can’t see anything after polishing. Great attitude, great service, very effective and helped my save so much money.
